TEST Sony VAIO VGN-BZ11XN
Cylinder design for office enthusiasts
von David McMullan am Mo, 11.08.2008

Cylinder design for office giants
The new cylinder design, typical for all newer VAIOs, is also available in the business models. The Centrino 2 configuration has proven itself, although the flaws are silimar to those of the FW model.

Sony VAIO BZ: Formschön für Business-Kunden

The black chassis features a simple straightforward design - a cylinder look and an embedded keyboard.

The loudspeaker panel is not as flashy as with the VAIO FW11ZU and the sound isn´t very impressive either.

The classy BZ-series business model does however offer significantly improved craftsmanship over the FW-series. The chassis is much more sturdy and the keyboard is easier to operate. As expected from Sony, the touchpad and keys are precise and fast.

Hinges and Port Deficits
The quality of the hinges is definitely not what is to be expected. Cheap covers conceal the somewhat stiff hinges.

Fingerprint-Reader
The VGN-BZ11XN is equipped with a fingerprint reader. This is pretty much the only highlight of the device. In addition to this you will find a USB port, wireless technology, a docking port, VGA and a card reader.
